Best lunch value in CDA. I saw their add in the Coeur d' Alene paper: a $5.99 Shrimp Platter (8 shrimp + baked spud & veg). I ordered and I added the salad bar $2.99 = total lunch was $10.08... you will not get a better lunch for the price than this. The shrimp plate was very good and the soup/salad bar one of the best in town. Add to this top rate service (ask for Lisa) and you have a winner. Look, for the price you could spend more for lunch at McD's. Note: Every month Mulligan's has a special like this... but they are all this quality. Also, the restaurant is in the "Best Western Motel"... Highly Recommended

I had a salad from the salad bar here, and it was fine, but it's not all that like some reviews make it seem like it will be. If you want some salad bar, the one at the CDA resort is way better. The only reason I'm giving this 3 stars instead of two is that I ordered a mixed drink and it was good and fairly strong. That really dulled the pain of my disappointment about the salad bar. p.s. there are no other vegetarian options at this restaurant except appetizers, at least on the dinner menu. If you are a vegetarian and you don't want a salad from the salad bar, don't have dinner here.

We had been on the road all day, and decided to just eat in the hotel restaurant. Probably the worst burger I have ever had. Really, really awful. And the food isn't even cheap, so it was a waste overall. The service was good though. Our server was attentive and helpful. At this point, I am not certain that I will even do the free breakfast in the morning.

Because it was New Year's Eve, we had to wait a long time before our order was taken. The food was not good. I ordered the roasted turkey dinner and it was so salty! The mixed vegetables tasted moldy. The turkey had so much fat around the edges that I am not even sure if it was real turkey (maybe pressed?). Everything was smothered in the salty gravy so I am unable to review the mash potatoes and stuffing. I believe the gravy was from a can. I would have complained, however, I was with a group of nine precious elderly women and did not want to cause them to be embarrassed or uncomfortable. If you are thinking of eating at this establishment, change your mind and dine elsewhere.

The soup and salad bar is very good. The veggies are fresh and the price is right. All you can eat for $8.99.

This restaurant is located inside the Best Western Coeur d'Alene Inn. I don't know anything about the hotel, other than that it's nowhere near the lake and on a very busy intersection, but the restaurant is decent. I went because I was looking to fill up on a salad bar. Say what you want, but I love a good salad bar, and they seem to be few and far between in Northern Idaho. Or at least, they aren't well advertised. This particular one did not disappoint. Two types of lettuce, lots of fresh veggies, and several choices for protein toppings including egg, fish, krab and ham. Accompanying the choices was a dinner roll and two choices of soup--a chili which was a tad heavy on the cumin (but only a tad) and a baked potato soup, which didn't have near enough potato chunks. My only gripe is that there were no "light" salad dressings available, only full fat and full of sugar options. But all in all, a decent deal for $9. However, if pressed, I would likely spend a couple more dollars for the fantastic chicken salad at the Coeur d'Alene resort.
